Resurrection Jukebox 2015 day 12

The other day I wanted to read something, but I couldn't decide what I wanted. I browsed the bookshelf and noticed my copy of Where The Sidewalk Ends by Shel Silverstein. I'd never read it and decided that it was what I wanted. The poems were funny and clever; I'm glad I read it. I found one thing in there surprising: the poem The Unicorn. I knew that was an Irish Rovers song, so why was it there?

Fast forward a few days to day twelve of Resurrection Jukebox. I looked up Silverstein because his name was fresh in my mind, and I knew he wrote and performed some offbeat songs. Silverstein did write The Unicorn; the Irish Rovers covered it. So that's today's pick.
