A military poem

"The Deciding Factor" 

Like a bird the pilot flew
Soaring into the sky
Off to meet the enemy
And destroy their threat.

He knew lives depended on him
It was more than just a battle
The fate of many hung in the balance
He was the deciding factor.

Fate would be decided today
As he met the enemy threat
He would serve his country
He would protect their skies.
