DRUG ABUSE
Drug abuse is what is eminent in our society today, it has also affected the society in a large way; both the young and old are also affected. Now what is Drug abuse? Before I define the word, I will like to define the terms differently.
DRUG: Drug according to the dictionary is a substance use to treat illness, relieve a symptom, or modify a chemical process in the body for a purpose.
ABUSE: It is an improper treatment or usage, misuse, application of wrong or bad purpose.
Now what is Drug Abuse?
To a lame Man, Drug abuse is the misuse of drugs. In a more advance way: Drug Abuse is the usage of drugs without prescription, it can also mean the intake of over dose drug or the usage of drug for non medical purpose, self medication can also amount to drug abuse.
There are some effect of drug abuse on the individual and the society at large.
Euphoria- This          is the un-necessary state of excitement, joy, happiness gotten from          the intake of drugs.
         Paranoia- This          is also the un-necessary state of anger, distrust of others.
         Hallucination-          It is a disorder that allows people to see or hear things that do          not exist.          
There are also some remote causes of drug abuse, they are as allow:
Social          disorder-Drug addict have so many problem as a result of their drug          abuse nature, which affect society at large. They have some goals          they want to fulfill to keep their drugs in their possessions; they          most times result to the streets to commit crimes such as stealing,          arson, assault, burglary theft and other crimes.
         Drug          dependency- People with drug abuse problems become addict to drugs,          which leads to dependency to drugs. They cannot do without them          which in some cases leads to madness and other abnormal behaviors.
People (drug addicts) tend to have a lot of problem that in the long run affect the society at large.
CONCLUSION-Drug Abuse is one of the major problems faced by our society today, it causes crime; it can also lead to economy bankruptcy and lots of negativity in any system. Drug abuse issues should be address in all society and it will be a better place to live in.
