I was in Taos one weekend with a friend. We were discussing how powerful thoughts can be. I went a step further by explaining that I could change a cloud to disperse and create a form from my thoughts.
I don't remember how long I closed my eyes and focused on a cloud we were looking at, but soon after a bird appeared; which is what I was thinking of.
I took a picture of the image and meditated on it and came up with the poem below titled Winged Spirit.
Winged Spirit
In the moonlight of my dreams
your wings encompass me;
taking me on journeys
where others cannot see
In the wind I hear you speak
of lands beyond my eyes;
Where truth and love are found
In the hearts of spirit allies.
