Poem about belief in God |
| Why Should I Believe Why should I Believe You're there, Have I seen You Anywhere? The Book says that You did it all, Freed the Hebrews Made Jericho fall. Yet no one saw you Lest they die, Couldn't look You In the eye. If You exist Why do we bear, Pain and suffering Fear, despair? War and murder Child abuse, Starvation, hatred Lynching's noose. Perhaps that's why You sent Your Son, To show us here What should be done. Use our free will To help mankind, Then step by step We may just find, Behind the suffering And the fear, If we look We'll feel You near. If we love instead of hate, We'll be approaching Heaven's Gate. And so in Father Spirit, Son, I do believe You are the One. |
