a girls happiness is consumed by a memory

I watch as her lips are forced shut,

she sits, expressionless.

I watch as her eyes look to the ground,

she sits, expressionless

I watch as her hands grab each other

she sits, expressionless

I watch as her feet begin to touch

she sits expressionless

I watch as her happy glow fades into the darkness... and doom consumes her mind
