Three Minute Read |
Connecting the Dot Andrea hated her suspicions, she just couldn't shake them. It wasn't that Bill wasn't attentive. He went out of his way to be the sweetest husband. Driving to the office tonight she hoped she'd find him actually working late like he’d said. He just seemed to have a lot of "important" cases lately, requiring after hours’ work. Andrea had started putting things together. She knew the key code, so went in and right up to Bills office. It was open and lit, but empty. Maybe she was wrong, he was working, and had probably just gone for coffee. She felt relieved and a little guilty. Walking down to surprise him, she was surprised. There he was in the store room with Dot. Well at least it wasn't his own secretary, who was a friend. Dot was a bitch, always making belittling comments when they met. The last time she had teased Bill for bringing "the little woman." Andrea didn't feel like 'the little woman' tonight. Starting up Bill's car she noticed the 'check engine' light was on. She’d never liked this car, too small and flashy. But, she hadn't had time to think ahead and this fleshed out her plan perfectly. There was a canyon close by with a tricky curve. She would need to jog back to get her own car but she liked jogging at night under the deep blue skies, it cleared her mind, something she needed. She only had to be home before anyone called. She'd had to squeeze in to fit behind the wheel for the drive over, but it was important to have Bill in the driver's seat when the car went off the road into the canyon, and of course, Dot’s body needed to be in the front seat too. |
