Abandoned

The hurtful feeling state after being rejected

Abandoned:

I was cast on the page into a sea of white
Captivated by the thought of never more
I am running out of time to be accepted
I type furiously knowing that I may not finish

I will finish the end of the stanza no matter what
I will finish this striving to be accepted
I have seconds left
I am done abandoned to a new birth, yet to be determined
