What was I thinking? I don't know, but rereading some earlier writing raised the question. Some of my pieces are only a few sentences long, and it must have mattered to me when I wrote them, but I don't know what spurred the writing. It's too short to provide context.
I wonder how to cope with these entries. Leaving them in my portfolio makes them matter, if only by default. Deleting them eliminates a part of myself, and I'd like to remain whole. If wholeness is defined by never getting rid of anything, then I'm whole. If wholeness is defined by the standard of personal health, however, the equation changes. The impact of one's mental, physical, spiritual, and emotional health provide a more intimate and less clinical view. My wholeness, then, relies on my perspective toward these snippets, not a tally of items kept.
