Snowflakes race towards the fire.
In chilly air, we perspire.
In this place that we made,
Weāve laughed and weāve played,
Nestled by the warming fireās glow.
In the dark, teeth might chatter
But here in warmth, that doesnāt matter,
āCause weāre here with our friends,
With all the love that we sense,
Nestled by the warming fireās glow.
In the morning we will have to go home.
And weāll have to get on with our day.
But until that time,
Weāre in the gloam.
And not until mornā shall we stray.
In the warmth of the embers
We talk of old Decembers
From days of our past
We want to make last
Nestled by the warming fireās glow.
For those unfamiliar with the tune, here's a video with the original lyrics.
