frigid air lifts snow
dancing on midnight winds
grass sways in moonlight

Snowflakes fall like crystal coins
Snowmen made with coal for eyes

Gentle warm winds blow
as budding fields of flowers
long for April rain

The first daffodils open
And spring is finally here.

Butterflies flutter
Choosing their favorite spot.
Humid air abounds

Fireflies light hazy skies
to the tune of a cricket's song.

Autumn air settles
Clearing out the summer heat.
Snowbirds travel South.

trees stand in sunset's gleam
blackened trunks lacking their leaves
