Love is devotion
A bee to its queen
A shine to its sheen
A beach's ocean

Love is divine
Like a full moon
making angels swoon
at a dervish's shrine.

Love is strong
A pit in a peach
A leader's speech
A popular song

Love is distress
A devil's snare
A liar's swear
A deceiver's finesse

Love is saving
A strong swimmer
A flashlight's glimmer
A hungry craving

Love is hope
among savages, a dove
among pungent, a clove
Giving courage to cope.
