My Best Friend

I had a great wedding gift idea. A poem I wrote & put in a beautiful frame for the couple.

"My Best Friend"

Today I marry my best friend.
We shall walk side by side,
not in front or behind each other,
but side by side.
We shall tackle all things in our path
to preserve our life together.
I shall never waver from my love for you,
for it is the strongest thing on this
beautiful planet.
As we go through our lives together,
I want you to remember,
no matter what we do throughout
our day, at the end of it,
It is still you and I.
As we share all the duties together,
so we may play together and have
the joys of life.
As we grow old together, may we cherish
all the joys and bumps in our path.
May our friendship blossom,
as our love grows stronger together.
Remember to hold me, to kiss me
but most of all to say, "I love you"
