Sheridan Lockwood spent his formative years in Beverwyck NY, a medium-sized city north of Schenectady. A natural athlete, he spent most of his days on the playing fields, on the basketball courts, in the bowling alleys in and around his home town.

He was a bookwork, voracious in his appetite for the written word. Christmas, Easter, and birthday presents were books or gift certificates for books or money to purchase them.

He loved life, tried to live it to its fullest. Until one day, when he was 14.
