Haikus about the Blue Ridge Mountains and spring. |
Blue Ridge Mountain spring-- spring unfolds upon the Earth. Green offsets the sky. Appalachian height, lush forest sugar maple. Burgeoning verdant. Springtime horizon, Virginia vaulting skyward-- vernal contentment. Red oak and thistle; winding paths with crape myrtle. Vibrant spring in bloom. Roaming doe and stag-- blue mountains stay a refuge. Beauty and vantage. 15 Lines (5 Haikus) Daily Poem Contest 10-12-17 Haiku is a Japanese poetry form, 3 lines with a rhythm (syllable count) of 5-7-5. |
