Fallen

My immediate thought upon reading the prompt "fallen".

Fallen

Can't lie
I fell in love
with his chiseled body,
muscle cut by hard work.
He charged my soul
Fell hard!

Life spanned
eventful years.
Time's wear and injuries
shatter physical strength.
A feeble frame,
bed bound.

We fall
to the unkind
challenge of age and pain.
Fatigued but together
our journey traced
by love.
