A fun limerick for a contest. |
| An impish young lady named Alice went looking for fun at the palace. Trying not to be seen by the King or the Queen, she drank lemonade from a chalice. She put the drink back on the table and tried on a coat of fine sable. Feeling no need to hide, she went running outside and fled on a horse from the stable. At last the Queen finally spied her and said to the King there beside her, "Let us send out some men to ride into the glen and bring back this wicked outsider!" The royals were glad the men got her, declaring she'd be cannon fodder. But then when she came in, they saw (wearing a grin) young Alice – the princess – their daughter! |
