How do we respond to pain and suffering? |
Choices I try to have faith but I have days of doubt and find myself wondering, “What’s this pain all about?” Then I think of Job and remember You’re in control and You’re safeguarding my soul. Sometimes the pain can be a blessing in disguise as it turns into the comfort and grace that only Jesus supplies. If we are to be the hands and feet that heal, we need to act in faith and not be led by the fear we feel. Every day we have to make a choice- to silently surrender or stand strong as God’s voice. In spite of how broken this world can be, our God is El Elyon- our Most High Sovereign Lord above every spirit, star and stone. Let the works of God in us be displayed and know that we were wonderfully and fearfully made. In all things give thanks and praise. “Draw us nearer to Thee,” we pray. When God breathed His spirit in us, He molded us for His pleasure so that for others in need of blessing we would be a treasure. As we accept God’s nature and sacrifice, His perfect will shall be achieved and of the greatness of His glory and purpose no one can conceive. Waiting in the shadows, He orchestrates all things. Reconciling the lost to Himself, He gives us new reason to sing. His grace is more than sufficient as we are given new life and we hope in the promise that one day soon there will be no more pain, tears or strife. Let us suffer in silence no more but sing for the joy that God has in store. |
