Peace

Peace must have been loosed among the stars,
from God's almighty hands and meandered
like wayward snowflakes in search of
a welcomed place to land.

It must have fallen on angel's wings,
As they fluttered around Heaven
Tumbled silently to earth

And lay in quietness only found
by those in search of tranquility.

Like a blanket of smooth snow
Conceals the cavernous scars on craggy ground
Left by time:

Peace caresses with solace, the wounded soul
That surrenders to its summons of serenity.
