Rikki loves video games. But when she is trapped in one, it's a different story. |
I look down at the green liquid swirling around the flower teacup, second-guessing my options. I look back up to the seemingly innocent woman in front of me, urging me to drink the tea. I wouldn't have trusted her if she hadn't have saved my life a while back. Her light ginger hair and soft brown eyes made me think she had good intentions. There was something about her, the way her smile lights up the entire room, her eyes soft and welcoming yet mysterious. In a way, she reminded me of my mom. How much I miss her... I grabbed the cup, almost forcefully, and drank the tea without leaving a single drop. I put the cup down, ready to start asking some questions, starting with why those stones lit up, but the world started to become dizzy. I swayed, trying to stay upright, keeping my focus on her. All she did was smile like nothing was happening. I forced myself upright, using all my energy to say those two daring words. "Elizabeth, Why?" Then I fell to the ground, darkness swallowing me up. The last thing I heard before the drug fulfilled its task was "I'm sorry Rikki, but the prophecy has begun." |
