This is a chapter that I have written for another story, introducing a new character.
Azaric

We find ourselves in a well lit (with candles in hooded lamps, and lamps with a mysterious light source) expansive room, of light grey stone walls and tall glass windows. Walls and the inner space filled with shelves lined with books, scrolls and tomes, and desks with seats and inkwells with quills. An impressive ancient library. There are robed people quietly roaming around and sitting at the various desks. At one of these desks in question, there is seated an aged man with an impressively long white beard streaked with grey, dressed in a robe of a deep shade of purple, interlaced with various symbols embroidered into its fabric, perusing over a pile of scrolls with a quill in hand.

Without looking up he calls out 'Azaric, please come here.' In response to his call a lad dressed in a long free-flowing tunic and trousers, of a pale blue linen fabric emblazoned a Gold dragon head and sun rays on the back with a smaller copy on the front left, approached.

The lad Azaric replies “Yes Master, Jarler.”
Master Jarler “Azaric, I wish for you to run me an errand. The market in Dorma, will be open today with some new stock, with merchants from other cities. I have here a list, that I wish for you to full fill. You will need to take one of the small wagons, for some of the items... Don't worry about coin for this list. That will be sorted by the council. Hmph, the stall holders won't be pleased, but it is out of our hands. They will be paid. Just not directly... Speak to Waylen in the stable and he will go with you to drive the wagon.”

Azaric nods reaches for the list and was about to reply, when Master Jarler states “Azaric, before you go. (and he looks up at the lad searching his face) I have a personal errand for you too. (Azaric looks at him startled) I have been noticing your progress in your studies, and have decided that it is time that you started looking for your own familiar. I believe that you have earnt this right. (Azaric was shocked and started to speak, Master Jarler, putting up his hand to stop him) Uh, I know. Do not worry yourself Azaric. I notice many things. Do not worry what the other students in your rank think. Nor what 'Master' Gorlon thinks. What I state overrules his words anyway. I've been in these stone walls longer than I can remember... 'Master' Gorlon would do well to remember these things... He may be your assigned teacher at present, but I feel you will do better to be reassigned to Mistress Solencia... ( A gasp escaped from Azaric) Ha, as I stated don't worry yourself. Calling you to me during your lessons, was for more than getting you to run errands... Plus getting you out and about for a little while would do you good. I believe this is best for you. Mistress Solencia is in agreement with me too. Her teachings will serve you better... All this will mean you will be getting new quarters, and uniform... This will all be a big change for you, hopefully for the best.
(At that moment, a small dragon jumped up onto the desk and lay in front of Master Jarler on his scrolls, toying with something shiny, earning a sigh and a smile from the Master.) As Master Jarler smiled and petted his familiar Hespa, he stated “On the note of your familiar... It needs to be a wise choice. But I believe in your case you will choose well... Remember, not all is as it seems. A familiar may even choose you... They are a lot of responsibility and you need to take great care of it. It will be your most valuable asset. They need a lot of training just as much as you and your fellow students. Here this Acrue Gem will be sufficient payment for your new companion and magical aid.”

As he finished Hespa sauntered over to Azaric and held out the shiny object it was playing with. An Acrue gem.

Master Jarler “ The hour is young, unlike myself, but you best be off as soon as you can. Everything will be taken care of when you return.” He winks and smiles at Azaric “Everything...” Even the little dragon Hespa did a purr/yip noise at Azaric.

Azaric presumed it meant the creature approved. Perplexed and grateful, Azaric said his farewells and headed off to the stables.

Thank you for reading. If you have any ideas suggestions it would be greatly appreciated. I would like some advice on how to introduce dialect within the story. Make it more free flow and less like a script.
