Early on I fell in love
with the majesty of horses
and the allure of the movie cowboy.
The dashing, daring,
                    Errol Flynn.
The strong, steady, silent,
                    John Wayne.

I couldn't wait to grow up
to have my own horses.
Married myself a cowboy,
                    some say, an Errol Flynn.
Raised our son to be a good man,
                    most say, a John Wayne.

Movie cowboys and horses were my loves.
My loves became my life.
