A little poem about forgetting and remembering.
This is a poem written for "SENIOR CENTER FORUMOpen in new Window. (Senior Center Forum's contest) with the prompt to write a rhyming or free verse poem with the prompt of "memories."

Memories, rememories,
Will you ever go away?
Memories, rememories,
Why can't I make you stay?

Memories, rememories,
Don't know why you began.
Memories, rememories,
Now where'd I park the van?

Memories, rememories,
The bad times are still here.
Memories, rememories,
Were we meeting at the pier?

Memories, rememories,
Slippery little things.
Memories, rememories,
So I've got fingers full of strings.
