Be (Yourself)

“Be yourself,” they say.
“Everyone else is
taken.” Who am I?
In the mirror, what
reflection looks back
at me? Who do I
see? Is that me?
We try on many
faces looking for
ourselves, all along
forgetting that life
is always change. Me,
as I know me, is
always changing, from
day to day different.
Whatever face I
see will be unique.
There is no model
I must copy. Life
simply means to be.
