"Stop snoring." Martha gave Pete a shove and he rolled away and nearly fell out of bed.
"What the ..."
"You were snoring."
"I don't snore."
"Well what's that then? Oh!" Martha realised that the snoring had continued through her conversation with Pete. "Then ... who is snoring?"
They both got out of bed. Martha grabbed the torch from the bedside. "I can still hear it. Has someone broken in?" They tiptoed down the stairs and began searching.
"There's nobody here," Pete said.
"Shhh ... I can still hear it." She followed the sound to the back door. Shining her torch around she saw a shape in the middle of next door's lawn.
"It's Mr. Jones," Pete declared, "She's thrown him out again."
