Quarantine

Quiet calm surrounds me,
Until the next round of chaos.
Artistry stands still in life.
Reading page after page,
Alone and yet not alone.
New ideas spring forth;
Try to keep up with the muse.
I’m writing today, knowing
Night will soon fall,
Ending my day of quiet calm.
