The Realities of many institutions!

I just was TDO if you have ever tried to kill yourself then you know what that means.
Was doing good this year or so I thought until I ended up on the railroad tracks.
Most surely don't care about us in these institutions not one little bit.
These places most of them are dark and unclean in nature even when not in COVID.
These places can be unclear and make you feel unwanted and more unsure of who you are.
I know whose I am but I struggle to serve him with all my heart.
The place I was at was nasty and so was most of the staff.
There are no Covid precautions in place really just the staff wearing masks.
Clients don't have to wear the mask at all on the wards.
They don't encourage handwashing or showering of any kind.
You don't have to keep your room clean or any rooms clean.
Your room will not be cleaned by housekeeping unless you ask.
Community rooms used by everyone are poorly cleaned by housekeeping daily.
Out of the three meals served a day only one is severed warm ever.
Sometimes the food is fresh sometimes it's not it's a 50/50 chance.
There are supposed to be groups about 4-6 a day but you be hard-pressed to have 2-3 on a good day.
When they have more than 3 groups on the rare occasion only two are of any quality.
I say this because I felt like I was being talked at not to or belittled.
One staff member at every meeting would be looking at or playing on her smartwatch.
You mostly roam the ward's hallways, watch tv or sleep, eat, and take meds.
Many don't really care about us is what I say.
Don't get locked up now if you can help it, you may be sealing your fate.
Take care of yourself and try not to lose it.
You don't want to go into any kind of institution in Covid if possible.
I do have to say not all institutions are created equal nor all staff and there are a few good ones here and there.
