No Housework Day

I do my work. But who wouldn't like a day with no work. Only the things one likes.

No Housework Day is the holiday
I really, really like
I can lounge by the pool
or I can ride my old blue bike.

I can turn on the TV
Maybe for an hour or four
I will catch up on my soaps
or see game shows galore

Now I would like to shop for groceries
but that would seem like work
I'll just do some on-line ordering
or let the store do my footwork

If I see some dirty dishes
They can sit in the sink
Because I'm on a one day vacation
and I need a nice cold drink

The next time I see some laundry
I will just leave it on the floor
And I will take myself to Beauty World
Because washing clothes is a boring chore.

Sadly I have to face tomorrow
when the holiday is over
And my job to be a housewife
Begins at six o'clock all-over.
