Random Thoughts

On an overcast day
with the cumulonimbus clouds
hovering above,
I wonder if hints of shimmering blue
would adorn this dull sky.


My thoughts rebound as
gentle raindrops dash
against my window panes
suffusing the once dry summer air
with breaths of coolness.


My unfulfilled dreams resurface
as I watch
lovers strolling under an umbrella,
as evening lights flicker
with the bright neon bulbs.
