The gift

I am rejoicing in what has been given me when I realize I came here empty

It was as a naked infant, I waited to realize the hopes of those who had me

I would come into a world with many persons opening arms and hearts

I celebrate that the surprise that I was is the surprise I long to be for others.

Thank you God for the gift of my life. I pray that whatever I do with the gift,

Is my gift to others that want the same expectation of being a gift themselves.
