Meeting an in-law is a special time. You always want to put your best foot forward.

Was I dressed just right?
Were my teeth lovely white?
Did I meet her with a smile?
I know I'm not on trial.

But this lady means a lot to me.
Her son smiles as he can foresee.
That his mother and new wife will try to be friends.
As we meet and talk the whole weekend.

I hope that we will treasure him just the same.
And make him feel he's now a man of fame.
To have a family that brings him love.
And shows him the respect that we are made of.
