It's about getting the guinea pigs in a row

So many little Guinea Pigs
All scattered about
"Come back, you herd,"
But they don't heed my shout.

They're a herd that hasn't heard
My command to gather round;
They run, they jump, they squiggle
They very bouncily bound.

Hm. They are used in experiments
Shall I call them a TRIAL?
Poor little lab-pigs
Dreading the vial.

They can be quite a trial
To keep as pets
But I love them so
There are really no regrets.

Then again, 'Guinea' means money
Shall I call them a 'TREASURE'?
Certainly these little creatures
Give me so much pleasure.

A trial of Guinea Pigs.
A treasure of the same animal.
A scattering, a cuteness
A loveliness of cuddly mammal.

A gamut of Guinea Pigs
is alliterative
So is grandeur
But it's not the right alternative.

What shall I call my babies?
I think I'll say 'Family'
Their presence cheers me up
And I love them madly!
