I am not a big fan
Of the July heat.
Makes me want to go shoeless.
hang out at the beach.
Beating the heat.
Or go to an air-conditioned theater
Playing the latest musica
or sitting in a café
with a large fan{/b }blowing
Reading my phone
Checking out the latest rumors
Of rich people behaving badly.
Thinking if I win the lotto,
I can join the rich and famous.
But I vow I won’t behave badly.
