short story about a mother and her bride-to-be daughter. I will make it interactive soon
Mother’s bride to be

Jennie and her mother Katherine were on their way home from the bridal shop where they
had collected Jennie’s wedding dress and her outfit as the mother of the bride.

Upon arriving home Jennie took both outfits and hung them in the spare bedroom.
Her mother soon followed up the stairs and both women stood there admiring the clothes
and thinking what they still needed before the wedding date.
Jennie’s dress was a full length
gown with puffy sleeves and lots of pearls and lace.
A style you would more commonly see
back in the eighties and early nineties, but as a kind of vintage clothes lover it was a style
that Jessie insisted on wearing for her wedding.
After a moment of silence Katherine spoke up and said:
Seeing this beautiful dress and underwear makes me want to wear it and get married all
over again.
Looking over to her mom, Jessie half jokingly remarked that there were no rules against
mothers wearing their daughter’s wedding dress.
And with a glint of mischief in her eye, Katherine started to undress and picked up the corset
and stockings that went with the dress.
Jennie was kinda surprised that her mom really was going to try on her wedding outfit, but
went along and helped to lace up the corset so she had the right curves for the dress.
When the underwear was on it was time for Katherine to slide into the dress and button up
the bodice.
The final steps in completing the outfit were putting on the satin gloves and white heels,
which went without any effort. It was like everything was specially made for her.
Now wearing the full outfit Katherine stepped in front of the mirror and admired her reflection
as she did some different poses.
Wow mom, You look just like me wearing that. Said Jennie whilst pulling out her phone to
take some pictures.
With a small haircut and a bit of my makeup you could be my sister.
Oow, why thank you honey for saying that, replied Katherine. Now there’s only one way to
find out how much I would look like you.
Are you up for the challenge? she said, pointing at Jennie.
You want me to do what?
So you’re asking me to cut your hair in the same bob style like mine, and do your face with
my makeup. Just to see how similar we would look.
Yes dear, I know it sounds very strange, but I’m too curious about how it would make me
look. and besides, it’s only hair. It’ll grow back.

Ok mom, if you say so. Come follow me to the bathroom.
Jennie combed out her mother’s hair and put a towel on her shoulders to cover the dress
and protect it from stray hairs that might cling to it.
Jennie then proceeded to cut the shoulder length hair into the same blunt bob she sported.
After evening up the bangs Jennie grabbed some makeup remover and started wiping down
her mom's face so she could start applying makeup.
Figuring her mom wanted the full experience Jennie chose to give her the full makeup look
she will use for herself on the wedding day.
So about 45min later Jennie turned her mom around to face the mirror and watch her
reaction.
Katherine’s eyes almost fell out of her head when she saw the person looking back at her.
The Katherine she knew was gone, and replaced with an almost exact copy of her daughter.
Okay mom, now that you had your fun.
Could you please take off my dress and put it back on the hanger?
Well of course dear. Thanks again for letting me have some fun.
But since you’ve done all the work. It only seems appropriate I return the favour.

What do you mean mom? And how are you going to do that?
Jennie dear, since I am wearing your wedding outfit, It’s logical that you walk a mile in my
shoes so to speak.
When I get back into my regular clothes I am going to dress you up as a beautiful mother of
the bride.
