They met and six weeks later
They married,

On his legal birthday.

22 years later
They were still married.
But due to his job,
And hers were unfortunately
Living separately
In different cities.

Celebrating together
Was difficult

An old-fashioned, old school
Phone call sufficed.

They concluded
That they would
Soon be together.

And hope to celebrate
Another 22 years together
Starting that date.

And they did
And 22 years later
They celebrated
Their 44th wedding anniversary
On his birthday.
