The 12 Days of Christmas

The 12 Days of Christmas (original from 1998) by Straight No Chaser

Christmas

Ok, so I had to include this one, too! Straight No Chaser first recorded this comical version of the 12 Days of Christmas in 1998. If you search the group's name and 2008, you will find where they came back together for an anniversary performance of the song. Both versions are neat, but I still love the original best. Part of what impresses me about this group is that they will seamlessly incorporate popular modern songs into their current song, or sometimes they will mesh two songs together. The tempos can be different, so they have to shift according to the needs of the music and there is the challenge of keeping all of them coordinated together while doing different things at the same time. While this might not be everyone's 'cup of tea', I find it very creative and entertaining to experience.
