A poem about the amazingly adaptable coyote |
| Coyote You lived in the wild hunting rabbits and game Like a smaller wolf child where the Buffalo roam Then the roads and the rails and the tall buildings came No more prairie or forest or game land to comb But you clever coyote, oh how you changed! Now you trek in the cities and staid neighborhoods Eating rodents and food left by humans to find Yet rarely you're seen in the new age brick woods You're clever and stealthy, you're one of a kind! |
