Stage Fright

Stepping out,
Into the light.
Faces watching,
Minds judging.

I open my mouth.
What are the words?
My mind blanks,
As I screw it all up.

My knees knock
And my hands quake
My face turns red
I have stage fright.


In Bed at Night

I lay in my bed,
And look at the wall.
Calm I do lack,
Because the shadows look back.

Taking shapes in my mind,
All my deepest fears.
Could be a Sprite,
Why did they visit tonight?
