Jack meets a few wild turkeys. |
Jack had always thought that turkeys were gentle creatures, but that was before he found himself being chased by a group of wild turkeys in the middle of a field. At first, he tried to outrun them, but they were surprisingly fast. Then, he tried to reason with them, but they just gobbled and lunged at him with their beaks. Finally, in desperation, he decided to climb a nearby tree. As he clung to the branches, panting and sweating, he couldn't help but feel a little ridiculous. Here he was, a grown man being chased up a tree by a bunch of angry birds. But just when he thought it couldn't get any worse, he heard a rustling in the bushes below. Suddenly, a whole flock of chickens emerged, cackling and clucking and pecking at his feet. Jack closed his eyes and prayed for mercy, but when he opened them again, he found that the turkeys had disappeared and was alone with the chickens. As he climbed down from the tree, he couldn't help but wonder if he had just dreamed the whole thing. But when he looked back at the field, he saw a group of wild turkeys in the distance, watching him with their beady little eyes. Jack shuddered. Without a second thought, he let out a blood-curdling scream and scrambled back up the tree. The turkeys had returned, and they were even more agitated than before. They circled the tree, flapping their wings and pecking at the trunk with their sharp beaks. Jack's heart raced as he clung to the branches, trying to figure out what to do next. He was starting to feel like a character in a horror movie, being chased by a relentless gang of feathered monsters. He let out another scream as one of the turkeys lunged at him, narrowly missing his face. He was getting tired, and he knew he couldn't stay up there forever. Just then, he heard a car horn honking in the distance. It was his friend, Bob, coming to pick him up for lunch. Jack couldn't believe his luck. He frantically waved his arms and shouted for help, and soon enough, Bob spotted him and drove over to the field. As he pulled up, he saw Jack still clinging to the tree, surrounded by a group of angry turkeys. Bob couldn't help but laugh as he watched his friend screaming and flailing around like a man possessed. But he quickly realized that this was no laughing matter. With a quick-thinking move, he grabbed a bucket of water from his car and threw it at the turkeys, scattering them in all directions. Jack stumbled down from the tree, soaking wet and covered in feathers. He let out a sigh of relief and collapsed on the ground, gasping for air. Bob helped him up and they got into the car, laughing and shaking their heads at the crazy experience. As they drove away, Jack couldn't help but think that he had a newfound respect for the wild turkeys and would never underestimate them again. |
