Joe was a professional gambler
Who lived by ten basic rules,

First, always declare your winnings
To your mafia sponsors and on your taxes
And take a deduction on your loses
You don’t want to mess with the tax man
Or with the mafia sponsors.

Second, you never count your money.

Third, when I can see you're out of aces.

Fourth, you need to know when to hold them.

Fifth, know when to fold them.

Six, know when to run
from the man.

Seven, when red or black
Have not come up
For a while
That’s a good bet.

Eight, play the numbers
That is cool
They are bound
To turn hot.

Nine, Scientists
Proved
Cards, craps, roulette, slots

There is a normal distribution
A bell-shaped curve.

Ten, play until your luck turns
Then walk away from the table
Before you end up
On the downward spiral
And lose it all.
