I wrote in high school after a rough patch with my crush who happened to be staring at me

yes I know it's true
you can never fall in love with me
that's for sure
but why are you looking at me?
as if I remind you of the songs we listened to together
the laughs we shared and how I listened to what you like dreaming of our forever
how you were never of my mind
how much I crave your attention those days
and I am over now
but you remind me of the days I never meant to deserve
how you put me in a cage of your brutal love
you made me think I was the only star
but I knew we were bound to be far

I loved you and always will
it hurts but still
I pretend to be a hale
when the scars by you still pain
