Elightenment

It’s only in the blink of an eye
that we can hope to see eternity…

It Comes upon us like a sunrise from behind the hills,
the purest water running in a mountain stream,
The forest through the trees…

It’s been staring at us all along, if,
We simply choose a gentle pace.

Time, it seems, goes on and on and on, only,
The here and now - the way back when - the present tense
always play upon the quotidian stage…

Reach out now and open up your mind,
(it’s easy if you try).

You can see the truth,
You can feel the hand upon your heart,
and you’ll know for sure that all the answers lie within.

We only take along what we’re willing to put in,
Feelings and smiles - laughter - and holding hands (to name a few).

The sticks and stones get blown away
and when we’re ready to take that step…

Epiphany at last.
