A 100-word story about a truth I've heard for years |
| I have heard my mother say this all my life, “Movies are good, but books are better.” Only when I’m older do I see how right she was. Though movies allow us to put faces to names, they are not always the faces we imagine. While we can enjoy a book by taking our time, on the screen, it just feels rushed. But where I feel her words make the most sense is the power of choice. We can choose whether to stay in light or shadow with books. Whereas with movies, we are often thrust into the unwanted spotlight. |
