A poem about my maternal grandfather

Horace B. Spackman
War hero
True man of steel
Loving, father
Those were what I was told
Yet I remember someone else
A boy at heart
A man with strong love
And a loving smile
A true lover of horses
Who would spoil us rotten
Even though I was quite young
When he completed his journey
His actions in life
Influence me to this day
