how dusk dresses the desert

As evening retires his tartan suit,
He twists his temperate tongue in throbbing titillation
To taste the tousled torso of his sempiternal sweetheart;
To renew their consecration through carnate constellations
Kissed covertly in the crescent contour of her supple spine

Her softened sinews twitch to tempt him
In salacious salutation of his somatic return-
She parts her sighing lips to spill her sultry splendor
As he trades her labored pants for his tailored twilight tatters
And blankets her bareness under his begging breaths

Dawn brings denouement to their nightly drama,
Punctuating their passion with its ritual rays-
Redressing them in their daily robes
Of sabolous silk and tattered tartan
Until the nightly reunion of their somnolent skin
