My yearning
Borders on desperation
To know
And be known
Emptiness fills the spaces
Untidy
Of dust bunnies
And memories of
Long ago times
When life was full
And days were spent
Beneath the sun
And by the fire
Of merry –go-rounds
And wagon rides
Fairytale dreams
Where happiness
And tears
Were a rainbow
Of many hues
Now seem
In a land far away
No bridges to Cross
To take me there
