When Time Stands Still

Serenade the Sunrise

By ~ Reagana

He stood...beneath a sky so pale
Waiting for that moment...
When Heaven and Earth should meet
When bird and beast
And sun and stars
Should all collide...
A kaleidoscope
Of hope
To dream

She searched...

Beneath the roiling clouds
For one to calm the storm...
To ease the tempest raging
Her soul screaming
And heart yearning
Fortress weakened...
Her walls crumbling
In search
Of love

He found her there
Upon the distant knoll

He said...

Let me take you somewhere...
To a land I know
We'll sail amongst the stars
And swim the deepest seas
A world you'll not forget

Where dreams are forged
In molten gold
Hope spun
In silken thread
Timeless interludes
We'll journey far and wide

She said...

This land of which you speak
I have never known
Yet searched day and night
In hope of falling in
A fairy tale come true

My feet have burned
on sun-kissed sand
In search
Elusive touch
Whispered in my dreams
A tease upon the wind

He asked...

Will you let go and fly
Take wing ~ soar with me
The place at rainbow's end
Between your world and mine

Come as I lead
Us there
Of no return
To stay entwined
In this time we create

She asked...

Will you not take me there
Place your hand in mine
Paint me all our dreams
Where make-believe is real

All's possible
You say
When time stands still
Serenade the sunrise
And kiss the stars goodnight
