Work of art

Muse Asleep

These mundane thoughts intrude
Upon my solitude
Wreaking havoc where they may
They’re here to stay

Cannot plan
I tell you, man
Can’t write a word
It’s so absurd

A hindrance to my work of art
Patience gone I wish to part

My muse asleep
Not a peep

So, empty head
I’m off to bed
