A reflective poem about confiding in the moon during lonely nights.

The Moon Knows My Name

The moon doesn’t ask questions.
She just watches —
quiet and silver,
like she’s heard it all before.

I’ve told her secrets
I wouldn’t trust to daylight.
Confessed the cracks in my heart
while the world slept unaware.

She never flinched
at my anger.
Never judged
my ache.

Some nights she’s full —
bold and unafraid to be seen.
Other nights she disappears,
teaching me
it’s okay to fade
without being gone.

The moon knows my name
because I whisper it
when I feel small.

And somehow,
under her cold glow,
I don’t feel
so alone.
