We had to use 8 words

It’s too easy to say
I’m addicted to you—
the language is too simple,
too cliche
and the analogy too inaccurate;
addiction is ugly, perilous
incongruous with this sacred emotion
that rests in me;
rather, I would let words that hold greater power
rule this moment
and grasp the heart of the sentiment
I have for you:
a devotion as infinite as the light expended by stars,
an adoration deeper than an abyss in the ocean,
so that today, tomorrow,
for every number of days still to come
I might stand with you,
your hand in mine,
united as one.
